Changing Other People

Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you’ll understand what little chance you have in trying to change others.

― Jacob M. Braude

We cannot change other people by helping them to fix their problems. The only thing we can do is make such an impression on them and be so in alignment with who we are that others can’t help but carry a version of ourselves with them, wherever they go.

Most of the mentors in my life have never participated in the conversations I’ve had with them. I understood who they were and whenever I wanted to call them or bring something up, I already knew what they were gonna say.

We are here on this planet to learn and lead by example. Everybody is our teacher and everybody is our student.

Show your own flaws and your own greatness as much as you can because both are necessary. It is an advertisement for the universe to give you more of what you feel inside of you. It’s called growth.
